TANZAFOKA: COUNTERPROGRAMMING

The Bloodline Tribune | October 2026 | Physical Print Edition

What happens when we stop accepting the narratives imposed upon us and begin transforming them into something that serves our collective good?

The October 2026 issue of The Bloodline Tribune introduces TANZAFOKA, a Tokanji principle rooted in rejecting imposed narratives, reclaiming cultural identity, and transforming what was intended for harm, exclusion, or degradation into something that serves the collective good.

This independently published Black culture magazine brings together revolutionary poetry, historical analysis, cultural commentary, original artwork, and voices committed to Black self-determination across the African diaspora.

INSIDE THIS ISSUE

  • Segregation by Jay Rene, examining Black economic ownership, integration, and the importance of self-reliance.

  • The African Origins of the Black Cowboy by Dominique Holiday, reclaiming the African foundations of horsemanship, cattle culture, and American ranching.

  • Who Owns the Shelf by Chuck King, exploring the Clark Doll Test, Black-owned dollmakers, cultural representation, and the importance of building our own institutions.

  • Revolutionary Poetry by JL Henry and Carrie Assata, addressing community responsibility, economic independence, cultural consciousness, and collective transformation.

  • Art, Literature & Culture featuring independent Black creativity, books, music, and cultural expression from across the diaspora.

TANZAFOKA is more than a theme. It is a call to reclaim the steering wheel of our own cultural narrative and determine the direction of our collective future.
